Job Summary
Al Marwan Group is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer / HSE Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance for pipeline construction projects across the U.A.E. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in oil & gas or utility pipeline projects, ensuring all site activities are executed safely and in accordance with UAE regulations and company HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, client requirements, and company HSE policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments for pipeline construction activities.
- Monitor excavation, trenching, pipe laying, welding, lifting, testing, and backfilling operations to ensure safe work practices.
- Implement and monitor HSE procedures, permit-to-work systems, and emergency response plans.
- Conduct incident investigations, prepare reports, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing HSE awareness training.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with project HSE requirements.
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, safety statistics, and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure continuous HSE improvement across the project.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of UAE experience in pipeline construction projects (mandatory).
- NEBOSH IGC Certification (Mandatory).
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, pipeline construction safety standards, and permit-to-work systems.
- Experience in excavation, confined space, lifting operations, hot work, and utility/pipeline installation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- English is mandatory; Arabic is an added advantage.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
